Children can snore during a cold or when very tired. Snoring on most nights, especially with pauses, gasping, restlessness or heavy daytime tiredness, is a reason to seek an evaluation.
What a clinician looks at
The assessment usually considers the pattern and duration of snoring, nasal patency, allergy history, sleep quality reported by parents, and relevant clinical findings.
